How We Use Google User Data
gmail.readonly: We read email metadata (From, To, Subject, snippet) to automatically log relevant email communications to contact activity timelines. This helps salespeople see a complete communication history without manual data entry.gmail.send: When you compose an email from within the platform interface, we send it on your behalf through your connected Gmail account. Emails are sent individually, rate-limited to comply with Gmail's usage policies.userinfo.email: We display which Gmail account is connected to your workspace and use it to match incoming/outgoing emails to contacts.
We use Google user data solely for providing platform functionality as described above. We do NOT use Google user data for:
- Advertising or ad targeting
- Training machine learning models
- Selling to third parties
- Any purpose unrelated to the features you explicitly activated
4. Data Security
We have implemented the following security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher
- Encryption at rest: Database storage uses disk-level encryption (Supabase/AWS)
- OAuth token protection: Gmail access and refresh tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage and are never exposed to client-side code
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Database policies ensure users can only access their own data — no user can view another user's Gmail tokens or synced emails
- Session security: Authentication cookies use Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite attributes
- CAPTCHA protection: Login forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated attacks
5. Google User Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade Google user data (or any other customer data) to any third party.
Google user data may be processed by the following service providers solely for the purpose of operating the Augenix AI service:
- Supabase (database hosting / data processor) — stores encrypted tokens and email metadata
- Vercel (application hosting) — processes requests but does not persist Google user data
- Google (OAuth provider) — we exchange authorization codes for tokens via Google's servers
No other third party has access to your Google user data.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Gmail Integration Data
- OAuth tokens: Retained only while your Gmail account is connected. When you disconnect (Settings → Integrations → Disconnect), tokens are immediately and permanently deleted from our database.
- Synced email metadata: Activity log entries (subject, snippet, direction) remain on the contact timeline until the contact is deleted or you request account deletion.
- Sent email records: A log of emails sent via the platform is retained for rate limiting and audit purposes.

You can revoke Augenix AI's access to your Google account at any time:
- From within the app: Settings → Integrations → click "Disconnect" next to Gmail
- From Google: Visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions → find "Augenix AI" → Remove Access
